Darren Theesen
Darren grew up on a farm south of Hastings, NE and moved to Kearney in 1986 where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska; Comprehensive Chemistry major, Biology-minor. He felt God called him into ministry opportunities in 2005 including leading Bible studies at the ‘I Believe in Me’ Boys ranch in Kearney and teaching adult Bible studies at the First Baptist Church in Kearney. He became licensed to practice Christian ministry in 2010; graduated from Sioux Falls Seminary with a Master’s Degree in Divinity in May of 2013; was Ordained into Christian ministry in August of 2014. Darren has been active in ministry with area churches and retirement centers since 2006 and has been serving the First Baptist in Holdrege since May of 2016. He moved to Holdrege in May of 2018.
There is no situation too desperate; no life so lost; no person so broken that God cannot restore!!! I am living proof that God is able to restore broken lives and I would be honored to share my story with you!
